The period between the end of WWI to 1935 in Russia was an era of intense innovation in the visual arts and architecture: a new, radical visual language was invented to conform to the world of Soviet Socialism This exhibition, organised by building type, presents Soviet architecture through vintage photographs from the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture of each project juxtaposed with photographs taken over the last fifteen years to illustrate their condition today. |
