The festival features around 20 concerts, accompanied by related exhibitions, films and workshops. The range of music on offer is diverse: concerts might include anything from Mongolian throat-singing to Turkish whirling dervishes, next to home-grown talent such as flamenco singer Miguel Poveda, a name that is now a regular occurrence at this event. This year, 2012, the Festival has been dedicated to the Maghreb, so performances on the stage of L’Auditori will include great musicians from countries such as the Congo, Burkina Faso and Morocco, among others. |
