La Vuelta 2013 From 06/09/2013 To 07/09/2013 Venue: Catalunya Website: http://www.lavuelta.com The 68th LaVuelta passes through Catalunya again this summer just as it did last year after a long 13 year absence. The race will cover a total distance of 3,319,1 kilometres and is set to take place in 21 stages from Saturday August the 24th to Sunday September the 15th 2013. The stages taking place in Catalunya are scheduled on the 6th and 7th of September. On the 6th there is a leg of the race from Valls to Castledefells (only 30 minutes from Barcelona by train), then on the 7th it heads north to the mountains of the Pyrenees for a potentially gruelling stage between Bagà and Collada de la Gallina in Andorra. Barcelona has hosted La Vuelta many times over the years. Since it first took place here way back in 1935 La Vuelta has taken place in or around Barcelona 54 times and 2013 shall be the 55th. |
