How to get there

The main airport is situated 18 km South West from the city centre and is now undergoing expansion due to the increasing number of passenger using it every year.
The innovative high speed train (AVE) connects Barcelona and Madrid in only 2 hrs 38 minutes. You can also enter Barcelona from other European countries using the Eurailpass includind 17 Eurpean destinations.
Since the Olympic Games of 1992 Barcelona has improved its traffic flow conditions so if you are coming by car you will find that road communication is a smooth and fast way to travel in and out of the city.
