The Picasso Museum in Barcelona has just completed an extensive set of renovations and improvements. The five former medieval palaces that make up the museum are now joined by a new corridoor and a a new gallery space has been created in a space formerly occupied by a terrace. This new Grand Chamber will house the complete series of Las Meninas.
The new permanent exhibition consists of 383 works with emphasis upon Picasso’s early formative years, the collection has perhaps the finest set of Blue Period painitngs anywhere.
