Cinema in the subway in Barcelona

Starting on the 22nd of October, Barcelona Transport (TMB) launched the third international exhibition of short films on the subway, running untill the 30th.

The aim is to give metro users, the population of Barcelona and travellers from abroad, exposure to Catalan and international short films and promote the artform.

If you are catching the metro in Barcelona keep your eyes open for some of the best new short films from up and coming directors.

  6. I am a fan of short and indie films since 1998 and it was a shame that I never had the chance to see these set of presentations when I went to Barcelona last November 12th (If I just came earlier). I hope they can have a site where other fans can see the movies, paid or not. Nice post!

  8. If I lived in Barcelona, I would grab the opportunity to attend this international exhibition of short films. I’m addicted to international films. Among the Spanish films that I’ve watched is Y Tu Mama Tambien. It’s a must for international film lovers.

  13. Nice idea !! In Barcelona, many cinemas offer half price ticket deals on a Monday night. This is subject to change and depends on the individual cinema. If someone is looking for the half price deals it is best to check the website of the cinema that are heading to and see if they offer the Monday deal.

    Yes Barcelona is a great platform for up coming directors to show their direction abilities. It would be good opportunity for viewers too, as they can get exposure to various kinds of cinemas of different regions, diverse cultures.
