Summer Nights at La Pedrera

Summer Nights at La Pedrera is a very special summer event that takes place on the roof of Gaudí’s magical Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera (the quarry), situated on Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona’s finest thoroughfares, and one that is lined with art nouveau treasures including the Casa Batlló and the Casa Amatller.

The roof of the Casa Milà is normally closed to the public, which is a pity because of the wonderful ambiance created by the fantastic sculptural chimneys created by Gaudí.

Barcelona is full of hidden secrets, special places where you can enjoy a truly unique experience, you can see 5 of the best of them here.

In the unrivaled setting of the Casa Milà’s roof, members of the public are able to enjoy the summer night air, great views of the city, music, and a ubitquitous glass of cava, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 21 June to 8 September.

Entrance: Passeig de Gràcia, 92
Admission: €25
Doors open at 9.30 pm

There’s nothing more perfect than going out on a warm summer evening to listen to live music. It’s one of my most favorite things to do and one of life’s simple yet ultimately rewarding joys. I highly recommend this activity for anyone who happens to find his or herself here during the summer. Live music soothes as well as nourishes the soul so make an effort to head out to this wonderful, magical place.

  6. I heard about this place la pedrera from one of my Spanish friend while reading in college. From then i have visited Spain 3 to 4 times, but never go to la pedrera at summer nights. I was busy every time with my business but after reading this blog i have made a plan that, next summer i will visit la pedrera with my family.
